Andrew T. Englehart - Director of Dispute Support Services
Andrew T. Englehart, Esq., is president and one of the principals of Construction Process Solutions, Ltd in Cincinnati. CPS, Ltd. is a national construction consultation and implementation firm providing professional support services including full service construction management, scheduling, pre-construction and construction phase services, risk management and assessment, dispute resolution support (including claims development and analysis), and bond default analyses and action plan implementation. CPS clients include owners, contractors, A/Es, attorneys, professional liability insurance carriers, and bonding companies. Mr. Englehart has analyzed over 600 complex cost and schedule claims, as well as project management standard of care issues. He has provided expert testimony in over 30 hearings and trials. He serves as an arbitrator and mediator on the American Arbitration Association Panel of Neutral & Mediators for the Construction Industry, having arbitrated over 30 cases and mediated a like number. He has been an adjunct professor at University of Cincinnati in Construction Science Department instructing “Project Costing and Cost Control” and “Construction Finance”. He has spoken on many topics regarding construction scheduling, cost, claims analysis, and project management, as well as having published numerous articles regarding construction contracts, risk management, and strategic planning for contractors. Admitted to State of Ohio Bar since 1994, he is an active member of the ABA's Forum on the Construction Industry. Timothy Schap, AIA - Chief Operations Officer
As Chief Operations Officer, Tim is responsible for client and project management, staff resource management, staff education, contract negotiations and general office operations. He is a key consultant, providing project representation and management, construction management, scheduling and estimating, claims management and analysis, dispute resolution support, operational audits and evaluations services on a wide range of projects. In addition, he provides standard of care analysis and review of program and design issues for CPS. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects. He serves as an arbitrator for the Construction Dispute Resolution Services Dispute Review Board. He has served as the Design-Build Institute of America Ohio Valley Chapter Marketing Committee Chair and Ohio Representative. He served as the secretary for the Columbia Tusculum Community Development Corporation. He is a former adjunct professor at Northern Kentucky University in construction technology department instructing “Construction Materials” and “Design-Build”. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati’s Architecture program, as well as Northern Kentucky University’s Construction Management program, Tim began his career with a nationwide architectural firm, progressing to Project Architect and Construction Administrator working on hospitality, municipal, educational, retail, assisted living, and multi-unit residential projects. He was responsible for the organization and management of construction document development, project schedule and budget development and evaluation, bid reviews, construction observation, technical design related issues coordination, payment application certification, change order request evaluation, and client relations management. Eric Kohls, CPC, LEED AP - Director of Project Specific Support Services
As the Director of Project Support Services, Eric provides owner’s representative, schedule development/assessment, estimating, and claims analysis on complex projects, including schools, stadiums, universities, hotels, industrial manufacturing facilities, multi-family housing, hospitals, courthouses, and aquariums. In addition to his role at CPS, he currently is an Adjunct Professor at University of Cincinnati in the Construction Management Department. Courses taught include Construction Scheduling, Construction Equipment, Construction Methods, Construction Materials, Construction Management III (Value Engineering) and Senior Capstone Project. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati’s Construction Management program, Eric began his career with hands on construction experience in the field as a Project Manager for a general contracting firm. His experience includes roles in design, estimating, and project management on projects ranging from $1M to $50M. The core area of his expertise lies in project costing, project scheduling and project management. His scheduling experience includes two of the most architecturally challenging projects ever built in Ohio, perhaps the US, in the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Art, Architecture, and Planning, and the Vontz Center for Molecular Studies.
