Program Management
The program defines the owner’s goals at the outset of the project, while the management of the program as the project develops keeps the participants focused on those goals. CPS assists the owner by tracking the owner’s goals and objectives as the project progresses. CPS works with the owner through the multiple phases of project development identifying critical issues regarding program requirements, aesthetics, and constructability while balancing cost, quality, and schedule priorities.
CPS can provide any or all of the following:
- Facilitate and document design team/owner meetings and issues between design team and the owner
- Ensure flow of timely and complete information to facilitate the design process
- Ensure that the project schedule requirements are monitored
- Review and prepare updated cost estimates as needed to verify design team work
- Review the design team’s value engineering process
- Review the design team’s life cycle costs analysis process
- Analyze constructability issues with the design team
- Meet with owner’s personnel to review operational issues
- Facilitate and monitor interaction with permitting authorities and “mediate” any issues that arise
- Review progress and final construction documents for conformance with program, budget, schedule, design meetings with owner, and past phases’ products
- Facilitate coordination and integration of building systems with architectural and structural components
- Perform a post occupancy evaluation
