CPS provides independent third party support, acting as either an advocate or project neutral, to assist in development and facilitation of an appropriate action plan for successful realignment. Depending on how participants want to focus efforts, a project realignment strategy is composed of a retrospective and/or prospective process. A retrospective process delves into the causes and responsibilities for project issues. A prospective process, on the other hand, views past actions as “water under the bridge” and concentrates participants’ energies on completing the project.
CPS implements a three stage process for project realignment. Stage one is orientation to project scope, issues, status (schedule and budget), and most importantly the participants. Stage two involves a fact finding analysis and assessment of liability, entitlement, and damages exposures. The third and final stage is immersion into the project as a facilitator to ensure realignment of success goals.
